The Lindsay Meech Jazz Band
The band's aim is to play a mix of Dixieland & mainstream, some tunes well known & some not so well known, as well as some original tunes written by band members & ex band members, in an entertaining manner that connects with most people.
With a repertoire that stretches across Dixieland and mainstream jazz, Meech and Co's line-up brings together a band of musicians who between them have performed all over the globe with some of the world's iconic jazz artists including Ben Webster, Maynard Ferguson, Pee Wee Russell, Bud Freeman, Stephan Grapelli, Bill Coleman, and many more.
Band leader, trumpet and flugel horn player, and founding member of Auckland 's Vintage Jazz Band, Lindsay Meech has toured extensively throughout Europe and the UK , with The Spirit of New Orleans and The Louisiana Shakers. Meech brings to the stage jazz reminiscent of early New Orleans.
