Riverside Jazz
Riverside Jazz are a local band and have been in the Thames Valley for 40+ years. They play mainly traditional New Orleans style and some modern style Jazz. The 5 piece band are made up of Lawrie Smith from Paeroa on Trombone, Nic Hidden on Clarinet and Saxophone, Bernie Smith from Maratoto on Clarinet, Morrin Cooper on Vibraphone and John Mounsey on Keyboard. Their enjoyment of playing music for the public shines through and they love to entertain locally.
These old boys can show the young ones a thing or two and still pump out great sounds!
Catch them at the L&P Cafe between 12 and 12.45pm and again between 2.45 and 3.45pm and then at the RSA from 5.45 to 6.30pm or you could find them anywhere on the street in between!
