Housed in this historic building is one of the best displays of NZ and local maritime history including Captain Cook, The Northern Steamship Co., Naval displays and many scale replicas of vessels.

The acres of beautiful grounds that flow down to the rivers edge are constantly being improved with the help of community volunteers. This area is a wonderful place for a picnic or BBQ or just an afternoon stroll and is available for private functions, such as birthdays & weddings.

Self contained campervans and visiting vessels welcome.

Museum entry: $5 adults Family $10 Children under 15 free
