Displays cover many aspects of the district’s early history including historic photographs, a concise replica of Paeroa main street shops of 1910 and their stock, plus a variety of period costumes dating back 100 years. There is a large display of Maori artifacts including a 250-year-old canoe stern post, carved with stone adze and a 527-piece collection of Royal Albert bone china “Old Country Rose”.
For an extra special visit make an appointment to ensure a local historian is present to tell Paeroa’s story. |
