Paeroa Scout Group
We believe in the value of the work we do, challenging young New Zealanders to be active, extra-ordinary and adventurous...
There are 16,000 SCOUTS in New Zealand, and this number is growing every day. We equip young people aged 6 to 26 with life skills of problem-solving, teamwork, citizenship, and healthy living; and provide them with access to a large range of outdoor activities including our specialised caving, photography, flying, canoe and snow schools.
Meetings are held at the Scout & Guide Hall, Wood Street, Paeroa
Wednesday afternoons 4.30- 6pm

What is Guiding? He whakamārama
GirlGuiding NZ is all about preparing girls for making the most of life ahead. Our aim is to help girls develop skills, knowledge, values and a sense of adventure through an experiential learning ‘hands on’ programme that’s designed to be relevant to the interests of today’s girls. We provide a fun, safe environment where girls are encouraged to be themselves, where they can discover their potential, develop an awareness of others and where their ambition is nurtured.
We provide a wide range of activities - challenging outdoor programmes, international travel opportunities, community involvement projects, chances to learn new skills and develop the skills you already have, leadership training, opportunities to have your say and more.

The Name ICONZ has Icons and NZ because it is our aim to develop each child into a Kiwi Icon using positive role models (Kiwi Icons) from families, churches and from within the local community. Our curriculum material builds on the heritage, culture and pride that are unique to our country. Through this we want to grow meaningful and positive relationships and boundaries for teaching under the (ALLS Fun) principles of Adventure, Leadership, Life Skills and Fun.
